Casa de la Real Aduana Boutique Hotel

Seems to be one of the more upscale and expensive Pátzcuaro hotels located about half a block off Plaza Vasco de Quiroga. Maybe a bit out of my usual price range, I believe over $200us, but we pop-in from Morelia from time to time to spend a couple days relaxing in Pátzcuaro and soaking up the local color.

Curious to hear what some of the locals have to say about this hotel, if they had any visitors that stayed here. Seems nice, is it worth the money?

Rooms

Five rooms of elegance decorated with a splendid collection of Art. The combination of antique pieces of furniture and modern works of art give each of our guest rooms a particular character and a pleasant atmosphere. The exotica of plants and the serenity of the old stones make of the gardens and patios a refuge of pleasure.

The warm welcome and friendly service of the hotel are part of the satisfactions that will allow you to fully enjoy your stay.

Posada Mandala

I was looking around for the best-rated low-priced basic hotel in Pátzcuaro and Posada Mandala seemed to fit that bill. We haven't stayed there yet but we took a look around the last time we took a holiday away from Morelia to spend a few days in Pátzcuaro. It is conveniently located and close to the plazas. Here's what they say for themselves:

Posada Mandala is a charming, small guesthouse in the heart of Patzcuaro, located behind the beautiful House ´Los Once Patios´, just one block from the main square, Vasco de Quiroga.

The beautiful colonial building features 5 rooms, 2 on the first floor with access to a terrace overlooking the town's rooves, and 3 on the ground floor around an inner courtyard.

The posada has a common area with kitchenette and living/reading room and offers a quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

Hotel Meson de San Antonio

The first two entries in this thread were the luxury and basic offerings in downtown Pátzcuaro near the plazas. This is the favorite hotel in all of Mexico for Cheenagringo and is also here in Pátzcuaro. A lot of factors go into making one place stand out as favorite which would be a combination of comfort, services, convenience, value and other considerations. It is subjective but it is a recommendation based on someone's personal experience.
